Very rare German WWII ammo pouches for MKb 42 assault rifle (MKb, not Stg!).

The first MKb42 assault rifles (Maschinen karabiner, 1942) were issued to front line units on the Eastern front by the middle of 1942 and the low - rate mass production began in late 1942. A total of about 10,000 MKb.42(H) were produced for the German Army before its production was ceased in favour of an improved design, the MP - 43 / Stg.44. This early ammo pouch for three magazines is dedicated for one of those 10 000 MKb42 produced in 1942-1943. This is NOT MKb42/Stg44 marked pouch!
Produced in 1943 by jmb - Lederwaren - Industrie Stefanski in Posen, Berliner Straße 5 (source - wehrmacht–awards.com   www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=360361).                                                                                                          � This is the left pouch. It is made out of canvas with elements of leather. Canvas is of typical color, with characteristic thin red stripe which goes horizontally through the middle. Markings: MKb42 on the left (looking from back side) leather belt loop and jmb 43 on the right loop. Leather parts are a bit hardened, but still pliable, cover’s belt is functional. Small damage of closing button of small side pocket. Overall condition is good / usable.
