This model of helmet was used of Germans Air Force Luftwaffe parachutists. This particular Luftvaffe parachute jumper helmet was found in Lithuania, in Raseiniai city. We can assert that this particular helmet is a relic left in Lithuania of the legendary 500 Waffen SS parachute battalion, which was later renamed in to the 600 Waffen SS battalion. This particular battalion, took a part at the Raseiniai fight in 1944 August 14. There are many documents that the only one Luftwaffe parachute battalion was in this area during the Second World War.
